MONDAYITIS

Gee I wish it was still Sunday! Why do weekends just fly by?

Saturday night Andrew and I had an absolute ball at my god-fathers 60th...it was so much more like a 21st. We got some great photos but they are on my Mum's camera, so as soon as I get them I will share. One of my fav's is of Andrew and Gary (my god-sister's boyfriend). They both hadn't shaved and looked all 'handsome and ruggered' according to them. In the photo they just look like long lost twins who are very drunk (Gary was NOT drinking, he's in pre-season and Andrew wasn't drunk yet!). Anyway I'll share it when mum gets it to me.

Not much else is news here. We had a pretty laszy day yesterday. Watched a DVD, did some scrapping and that's about it! Not much happening today either...too hot. I've got some washing on and I have had just realised that means I will have to go out in the heat to hang it out...DOH!

That's it for now. Hope everyone is having a good Monday (is that even possible?)
I'll leave you with this image...cracked me up. If you want to find out what yours will say, go here and scroll down the page.

NEW BLOG, LAYOUT SHARE & BUSY WEEKEND

OK! First things first. My new blog design is thanks to my IT hubby. When it comes to HTML I have no idea, it all looks like gobbley goop to me, but Andrew understands it completely (I sometimes wonder if he understands it more than he understands me LOL) so all the prettiness is thanks to him.

There hasn't been much scrapping lately, with all the silly season beginning, but I did manage to scrap one complete LO and two almost complete LO's, last Saturday night while having a girls night at Jess'. We got Italian and scrapped till 4 in the morning all while watching Dirty Dancing and chitter chatting away. Here's the complete LO I did and I ma hoping to get the kids into bed at a reasonable hour tonight so I can finish the other two.

As for the weekend plans, its another busy one for us. Tomorrow morning I am helping my MIL out at the church fete. Every year the two of us run the baked potato stand. I then have to go shopping to find something to wear to my God-fathers 60th Birthday party tomorrow night, come home and get the kids ready, drop them off at my MIL's, head home and get ready and then wait for Andrew to get home from work at 8pm and do the Superman style outfit change and then head over to Glen Waverley for the party.

Sunday (fingers crossed for heaps of sunshine) I plan on making more of a dent in the growing washing pile that has appeared in my laundry due to my beloved dryer dying and then I have to give a young friend of ours a driving lesson. Sunday night for tea Andrew has asked if we can have a roast, so I'll have that to organise and then it's movie night with the girls and the pick is Banyard!

That's it for me...hope everyone has a good weekend!

MISS TOM PRICE!

Well it seems as though my cleverly gorgeous pal Jaimie Emmerton (aka Miss Tom Price) has gone and had one of her layouts showcased in this month's Basic Grey Newsletter, WOOHOO! My "JAFFA" friend, Trina McClune has also had her LO showcased for this months Basic Inspiration...Way to go Trina!

Not much else news here. It's been raining and hailing here all day and silly me thought it would be a good idea to head out to Westfield with the kids. Someone should have really just given me a good ol whack on the back of the head and told me I was an eejit! Needless to say it was a short lived trip.

That's it form me today. I need to head into my scrap room and make a start on the hundred and one things I need to get done. Why is it that I leave everything to the last minute? I have a CJ to do, my Christmas ATC's and also some christmas things to finish for KSK. I also thought it would be a good idea to make a start on my Christmas Cards and some gifts for a few family members. Wish me luck!

A LITTLE BIT OF ZEST

Head on over to Lime Tart and check out our first ever newsletter as well as our first DT gallery.

And it was also brought to my attention that Lime Tart was getting some great reviews over at the Aussie Scrapbook Critic Blog, so rather than take my word for it, go over and have a look. I think the comments speak for themselves, although I will add that I too think Philippa does an amazing job (no shameless plug here) LOL.

POO, BUGGER BUM!

I have missed a day already...

So what's news? Friday night was crop night here and I had a full house. I managed to move my craft mat from the table in my scrap room to the table in the Rumpus Room (aka Crop Room), and that's as much scrapping as I got done. It was great to just catch up with friends and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Saturday I just hung out at home with the girls. While they played and made a huge mess, I washed and ironed clothes and cleaned up a huge mess. Saturday night I picked up my girlfriend Karen and we headed down to her sister's place in Point Cook for a cuppa and a chat.

Today Andrew and Alan finally got around to putting the new back door on and it looks real pretty. Having all that glass lets in some much needed light in what was a gloomy part of the kitchen. Mum called around this afternoon and brought the Kenny DVD with her. If you haven't seen it then make sure you do...we had such a great giggle and it really does give you a new found respect for port-a-loos. We asked Mum to stay for tea, seeing as Dad was going to be away for the night, and then watched Australian Idol. All I'm going to say there is Go Damien!

It's a long weekend here in Melbourne so we still have another two days of weekend left. Nothing much else planned other than stuff around the house. Hope everyone has had a good weekend...till then

Oh thought I would leave you with this pic of the girls I took this afternoon. Made me think of that "watching her play with the cupboard box, Priceless" ad.

DAY THREE: I CAN SHARE MY SECRET!

I am soooo about to toot my own horn here, but the excitement is blurring any perception of arrogance LOL. I am now officially a DT member at KSK! How lucky am I to be a part of another fabulously (is that even a word) talented Design Team? Between Lime Tart and KSK, I am surrounded by more inspiration than I could have ever imagined.

Today is a GREAT day! Hope you are all having a great one too!

ALISON'S LISTS

Okay, so I have decided to join the masses and take part in Alison's lists. It is also going to help me try and achieve the challenge of making a post every day this month, so here goes.

List the names of all your past bosses.

Sue, Shannon, Dale, Vanessa, Craig, Richard and Chris. Having worked since I was 15 I thought there would be more, maybe I am missing someone, but that is everyone that I can think of.

In other news...

Melbourne Paperific was held at Telstra Dome over the weekend and I was working on the Scrapanalia stand with Jess (of course) and also Megan, Sofi and Carolynne. It was pretty busy over the three days, which meant that I didn't get too many chances to look around. I did manage to do a bit of shopping though and still brought home most of my pay. So many people came over to say hello, which was great, I only wish that my brain wasn't so fried so that I could remember everyone. If you did come over and say hi and I was a little vague, it had nothing to do with you and everything to do with walking around like a headless chook. It has taken me the better part of this week to recover as well as to catch up with all the housework and washing...what is it that they say? A woman's work is never done!

Well that's it for me...Hope everyone is having a good week and looking forward to the weekend...I know I am.

NaBloPoMo

I saw this on Kathryn's blog and thought I would give it a go. A bit of a challenge to post on your blog everyday day during the month of November, so I am going to give it a go. Wish me luck!
