NEVER RAINS...

but it pours...
I had completely written off the month of June as it just seemed to be one comedy of errors after another, but in July there was hope, a fresh start so to speak. Well all hope of that were dashed this morning when Georgia woke up covered in the chicken pox. Just when we thought she was all in the clear seeing as it had been two weeks since Caitlin had them, it wasn't to be. The timing couldn't be worse either with Caitlin's 5th birthday on Saturday and her McDonald's party and Sunday. I'm not too sure how Georgia is going to cope with not being able to go to Maccas.
In other news I have the plumber here as I type getting everything ready for my new kitchen and laundry which will be installed over the weekend. I am so excited and extremely relieved that this part of the renovations is nearly over with and that we may have some sort of order restored. Washing dishes in the bath isn't something that I want to do again in a hurry. When we decided to completely renovate it was so that we could sell up and move to a newer home but after a few late night chats recently, Andrew and I have figured out that we actually like where we live and that once the house is finished we will like our house too, so the new plan is to stay and extend the house upwards within the next couple of years. I must be crazy I know but once I stop thinking "not again" I starting feeling content sitting here in my loungeroom with an inch thick layer of plaster dust and boxes filled with kitchen stuff. One day this will be my dream home so for now I will just turn a blind eye to the chaos.

oh poor georgia! I was under the impression that chicken pox was only contagious 1-2 weeks before the spots appear and then they take 1-2 weeks to appear. But then i'm not 100% sure.

Oh, no! Nothing like kids to throw a spanner in the works. Hope it goes quick and she's not too cranky or uncomfortable. I've heard zinc can speed up the recovery, do you see a naturapath?

I'll think of you as I turn a blind eye to the chaos in my house too ;) One day we will have our dream homes.
