DEVASTATED

Billy has been robbed! I so wanted him to win FNL tonight and in all honesty i think he did, only that he couldn't keep the tripe down...poor baby! Daniela is just going to do my head in over this although taking Michelle into the rewards room is punishment enough for me LOL!

OK off my soap box now and returning to normal viewing!

WEEKLY CATCHUP

Well it's almost been a week since I last blogged and definitely will be by the time I finish LOL!

Before I go any further I have to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my gorgeous nephew Ethan, who turned 1 today, I can't believe that it has been a year already. My SIL Kirsty took some gorgeous photos of him at dinner tonight and I can't wait to get my hands on them.

Not too much has happened in a week. Saturday I went to Sensational Saturday down at Scraptacular. It was so nice to be out and having a chat with the girls as well as getting a little scrapping done. I only managed to scrap two layouts and I will scan and upload them over the weekend. When I got home on Saturday night I was starting to feel sick and when I woke up on Sunday I was well and truly full of the flu. I spent the next four days slowly dying on the couch and am only now starting to feel like my old self again.

The girls have been great and luckily didn't come down with the flu. Georgia had kinda on Wednesday and finally she is absolutely loving it. No more tears or tantrums and making Mummy feel awful about leaving her. She loves Wednesday's now and I have to ask for a kiss goodbye when I'm leaving LOL. I knew it would happen and am just glad that it didn't take long.

Still loving Big Brother and am hanging for this Sunday Night's Eviction. It is going to be a big one that's for sure and I just hope that Billy doesn't go. I really like Andrew too but I think he is ready to go and wants to see Hayley. Spewing that Jamie got to use the twist and pull himself out, especially after reading the latest article about him in TV Week.

So what's planned for this weekend? We have Ethan's Birthday party on Saturday and that my friends is just about it. Nothing else on. I might try and do a little scrapbooking, if I can find some creative juices, and I definitely need to take some photos of the girls as it seems like ages since I took any.

That's it for me Chickie's. Hope everyone has had a good week and has a great weekend.

TGIF

Well it's Friday again and I am counting down the hours (minutes now) until BB Friday Night Games starts. Andrew has gone to work, the girls have had tea and the house is clean. My dinner is sitting in the fridge waiting to be zapped, so I am all organised. I can't believe how utterly addicted I am to Big Brother this year. Andrew and I have even been hooking the laptop up to the TV at night so we can watch live streaming. The only bugger is that streaming only lasts for 20 minutes and then you have to click it again. It's the last thing you want to do once you have gotten comfy on the couch, but being able to watch it on 107cm plasma is so worth it, so Andrew and I have resorted to 'rocking off' every time it needs to be done. I am officially the Rock, Paper, Scissor Queen int his house LOL.

Tomorrow I am heading down to Scraptacular for their Sensational Saturday Crop/5th Birthday Celebrations. Unfortunately I won't be able to get down there until 2pm (babysitting bungle) but at least I still get to spend at least 7 hours scrapping away and as a bonus it also means 7 hours with Wend which is always guaranteed to be fun.

Not much else is planned for the weekend. It looks like Andrew might have to go into work on Sunday so I might just have to find something to do with the girls as not doubt they will be well and truly over Mummy by then.

In other exciting news I am hanging for Kass to get home from her overseas trip. Not that I miss her or anything (LOL) but she has bought me a new lens for my Canon 350D and it is only costing me about $85 AU. How cool is that? Kass sounds like she is having a wonderful time and I really am looking forward to her coming home so I can hear all about it.

That's about it for me today. 25 minutes until the daily show starts so I better get the kids in the bath.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

A WONDERFUL SATURDAY

WOW! What a fabulous day the girls and I have had.

Caitlin had a party for one of her friends from school, so we dropped Gigi at Nanna's and then the two of us headed to Kidz City. Two hours of bliss for both of us LOL. she ran around and had a ball with all her friends and I sat and had coffee and lunch with a friend Louise (Dylan's Mum).

When the party was finished Caitlin and I picked Gigi up from Nanna's and then drove over to see Uncle Dunk and Aunty Wendy, where we were completely spoilt rotten. Dunk had moved furniture around and made the girls a cubby house, there were boxes of toys to play with and new colouring books and crayons. Later in the afternoon the girls were served yummy chicken nuggets and got to eat them while sitting in front of the TV watching the Lion King. I too was spoilt rotten and had an endless supply of drinks and then topped off with pizza for tea. Just when the girls thought it couldn't get any better Uncle Dunk and Aunty Wend gave them a present to take home and out in their bedroom. It's a little virtual fish tank that lights up. The girls love it and have both gone to bed tonight watching the fishy's swim around in circles.

I am so very lucky to have wonderful friends who love my girls just as much as me LOL.

Thanks Dunk and Wend for a fantastic afternoon. Love you both.

I'll leave you with some pics that we took today

YAY

I finally seem to have gotten rid of all the little bugs that have been playing funny buggers with my internet connection.

Not much else is news since my last post. Renovations are still in full swing and it also seems as though the germs that have invaded our house in the last couple of weeks have found a new home.

Is it sad that at 1.30pm I am starting to count down the hours until Big Brother starts tonight? Friday nights are pretty boring around here as Andrew leaves for work at 7am and doesn't come home until 10pm. By tea time the girls are well and truly over being with me and I am looking forward to them going to bed LOL. I make myself a coffee, sit my bum down on the couch and hang on every moment that is Friday Night Live. I don't answer the phone (unless it is an ad break and then you are quickly told you have about two minutes to tell me whatever it is you need to tell me) and i only get up if the girls need me or I need to go to the loo and that too is usually reserved for ad breaks.

Tomorrow Caitlin has a birthday party to go to at one of those indoor play centres, so while she is happily playing away I will enjoy a nice Latte and devour the latest copy of Scrapbooks Etc. The party finishes at 2pm and Caitlin and I will go and pick Georgia up from Nanna's and then drive over to see Aunty Wend and Uncle Dunk for afternoon tea.

Sunday is renovation day, so we will be home all day pottering around. I might even make a roast for tea on Sunday night, but don't tell Andrew, just in case I change my mind LOL.

Well that's it for me today. I'm off to put another load of washing on, which will mean all my housework is done and then I might try and do some scrapping to pass the time until Big Brother starts.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

10 THINGS FOR TODAY

I saw this on Wendy Sue's blog and thought it was a great idea...an easy way to update my blog too!

1. Mother's Day was just wonderful. This year with both the girls being in school and kinda I received gifts just from them. Caitlin bought me a little wire basket filled with a manicure set, body wash, a loofah and a makeup purse that she purchased from the Mother's Day stall at school. From Georgia I got a frame that has her hand prints in them as well as a handmade card. We had lunch with my in-laws at Moonee Valley, which was yummo and then spent the afternoon lounging around at home. My mum and dad came here for tea and we got pizza and pasta from my BIL's pizza shop.

2. Miss Gigi has had her first real haircut and she looks like such a little girl now. How could you not love that face.

3. Saturday I headed over to Picture to Page with Jen Hen and Karen and met Miss Wendy there. The show was ok but a lot of old stuff. I did manage to spend a bit of money though, funny that, but not as much as i thought i would. Jen, Kaz, Wend and I then headed over to Sofia's for lunch and let me just say that I have never seen a meal so big in all my life. It was just so nice to sit with the girls and chat, I really enjoyed it.

4. I completed another LO for the 123 Challenge Blog. This time the challenge was to use 3 or more pp's for your background, transparencies, and flowers. This is what I came up with;

5. We now have two working toilets in our house LOL. My dad came around on Saturday night and connected all the plumbing and then on Sunday Alan plastered the walls and Andrew wired up the light, so our second toilet off the laundry is now officially a toilet and no longer a storage room for renovation stuff.

6. Friday night Karen, Linda and Evelyn (my other Mum) came over for a little scrap session. I only managed to get two layouts and a card done, but that is good for me. I will scan and upload some LO's a little later.

7. Also on scrapping, I went to Sensational Saturday at Scraptacular with Miss Wendy Saturday week ago. We scrapped from 10am to 9.30pm and I completed 5 layouts. I had such an amazing day and it was lovely to met so many wonderful new people. I am so looking forward to next month. I also got to catch up with Rachael and her beautiful little girl Bella who, let me tell you is the sweetest little thing ever, and such a good girl.

8. This term at school for Caitlin is all about the farm. Yesterday all the prep's went on their first school excursion the the Bundoora Children's Farm and last Friday they had a farm parade at school. Caitlin went dressed as an adorable pink pig and I got the cutest pics of her and Jordan, who went dressed as a bull.

9. Andrew has decided that YES redoing my scrap room is a great idea and between the two of us we have come up with a plan that we both like. He is going to build me a massive desk that will run from one wall all the way to the other which will give me a big space fro scrapping, a space for the laptop and printer and also a space so that i can keep my sewing machine out too. We are also going to get two 16 cube bookcases and I already have a tall bookcase that is still raw, so I can paint that to match. I really wanted to go for white but am now heading towards chocolate brown for all the furniture. Anyway it something to think about and I have plenty of time to do that as it won't be happening until the other renovations are done.

10. It has taken me longer than I thought it would to reach number ten and I can't think of anything else to tell you LOL. Ok how about i need to do some house work? That'll do.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Ange xx

Big hugs for Miss Wendy who is really sick at the moment. You have to get better Wend, we have a lunch date on Sunday LOL

LAYOUT SHARE

It has been ages since I shared any LO's, mainly because it has been ages since I scrapped anything just for me.

This LO (Schoolgirl) was quick and simple. Caitlin has been to heaps of parties before, but this was her first one since starting school.

Another quick and simple one (Mwah). I have been wanting to scrap this photo of Andrew and Caitlin for ages. I'm not completely happy with this LO so I might have to play around with it for a little bit longer. It just needs something else...what exactly I don't know yet, but I'll get there LOL.

This LO (Soak Up) has on it my fav photo at the moment. As the journaling says, it's not very often that I am in front of the camera and Andrew seems to doing well with his 'how to use Ange's camera' lessons.

And lastly this LO (3rd Birthday) is proof that I am a good mother, as Georgia made it to her 3rd birthday LOL! Why is it that she looks so angelic in photos???

Well that's it for me today. Off to finish the housework and figure out what's for tea tonight.

Hope every one's having a good day.

PLAYING CATCHUP

*WARNING, WARNING, LONG POST AHEAD*

Ok, so I didn't make it back yesterday for my promised update, but I'm here now LOL!

So where do I start with what has been happening over the past couple of weeks? Point form is always a good idea, so here goes;

* Miss Gigi and I are still persevering with 3yo Kinda and 1 day of occasional care. She has fine tuned her ability to make me feel like the worse mother in the world and I ma sure she has convinced herself that she is not allowed to have fun while she is there. It is getting better though and hopefully within a few weeks it will all be good.

* Renovations are back in full swing here, albeit it slowly. Andrew is in the laundry as I type, removing the hideous old wallpaper from one wall and also from the walls in the second toilet (which is off the laundry). My dad is dropping in one night this week to connect the plumbing for the toilet and then our resident plasterer, Alan, will be coming on Saturday to begin the mammoth task of re plastering in the laundry & toilet, the kitchen & meals area, the lounge room and then finally the rumpus room.

* Caitlin lost her third tooth last night, one of the top front ones, and let me just say how adorably funny she looks with her new toothy grin. Thankfully school photos were taken at the end of first term. So anyways, last night we placed the tooth in this special little silver bag (like the ones you get jewellery in) and hung it out for the tooth fairy. She was busting at the seems this morning to see if her tooth had been taken and was absolutely delighted to find a $5 note. She also told us that she could see a little bit of fairy dust in the bottom of the bag (plaster dust, but who am I to burst her bubble)LOL.

* Not alot of scrapping has been done lately, but I think my mojo is returning. I discovered the 123 Challenge blog while I was blog hopping one day and decided to complete the April Challenge, which was to use a chipboard swirl, use some bling and not to use any paint anywhere. The LO turned out very simple, but I loved it, and I am pleased to say that I won one of the prizes for my efforts WOOHOO! So here is the layout and don't forget to check out the 123 Challenge Blog and have a look see for yourself.

* Friday night just gone I had a great night here at home with some great company. I asked my Mum to come over and scrap (she's just discovered the obsession) and just chill out and then I spoke to Miss Wendy, and when I mentioned what I was doing she said she might head over for a coffee if she got the chance. Wend did get the chance and arrived just after six bringing with her the yummiest Chicken Curry, Kumpow Chicken and rice. Kass called to ask if she could pinch a pizza box from me to send a LO off that had been accepted for SC, and so she arrived at about 8pm, with my Mum arriving soon after. Needless to say no scrapbooking was done, but we certainly did get a heap of chatting done LOL. It was a great impromptu girls night and couldn't have been better if I planned it.

* I have discovered Stampin Up! I know that most of you have probably already made this wonderful discovery and you are all in trouble for not passing it on to me LOL.
Wend invited me to Deb's place down in Patterson Lakes (which Kass said I would need a passport for considering how far I was going LOL) where the lovely Claire Daly was running a workshop. Thanks Deb for having me in your gorgeous home and it was really lovely meeting all the girls. Now I just need to win tatts so I can have one of everything from the Stampin Up catalogue! (Melissa look out, I will be stalking you soon)

That's all I can think of for the moment. I have a busy couple of weeks coming up so I will have more news soon.

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing Sunday. I'm off to try and do some scrapbooking, just have to clean my scraproom first ARGH!

PHOTO SHARE

We visited the Children's Park in the City on the last day of school holidays and I have been meaning to sahre some photos with you for over two weeks...better late than never!

I am spending the day on my laptop and one of my 'things to do' is give my poor neglected a blog some much needed attention, so I will be back a little later with an update on what has been happening over the past few weeks and I also think it was a bout time I shred some LO's, so I will add that to my list of things to do aswell.

Till later...

RANDOM RAMBLINGS

I have become extremely slack with updating here on my blog and have decided that I need to try a little harder LOL

So anyways, I'm just going to rambling on with what's been going on lately.

* Crop for Kids figures are in and we raised about $7,000 dollars. Woohoo! A big thank you to all those who supported the event and made it such a success.

* Andrew finally dragged his butt to the dentist and now I'm wishing he hadn't bothered. He came home with a quote for the work he needs done and 9 fillings and 4 root canals adds up to $2000! I nearly died when he showed me and seriously suggested yanking out each and everyone of his teeth and getting dentures. He is booked in for 'phase 1' to begin next Monday.

*Miss Gigi has become a Kinder girl. We haven't had a three year old kinder in our area before and when we finally got the go ahead to have one, the local council decided that soil testing needed to be done first, so no kinda for first term. My little Miss Independent is slowly adjusting and I have also booked her into occasional care on a Friday to help her along. It definitely isn't a separation issue, it's more to do with her being so headstrong and not liking being told what to do. We are persevering and making headway, so we'll just see how it goes.

*My cousin Michaela has just announced her engagement to the lovely Justin. It happened while they were visiting New Zealand (Justin's a Kiwi) and they have set the date for October 2008 and are getting married in Fiji. Woohoo! Finally a wedding to go to, with a holiday thrown in for good measure.

*Caitlin is back at school and I am pleased to say that I survived my first lot of school holidays! The girls fought a little for the first couple of days but then they settled down and just enjoyed playing and exploring together.

That's it for now. Back soon.

THIS IS KNIDA COOL..

Saw this on Kathryn's blog and thought I'd give it a go. You just need to head over to Wikipedia and scroll down to the search bar on the left hand sidebar. Enter your birthdate, month first then date (so for me it was August 7) and hit search. You'll get a list of all hits relevent to your search, so just click on the first one you see with your birthdate. Once you have done this choose three events that have occured on that date and then a few famous people who share your birthday. Here are my results;

1794 - Whiskey Rebellion begins

1945 - President Harry Truman announces the bombing of Hiroshima

1947 - The Bombay Municipal Corporation formally takes over the Bombay Electric Supply and Transport (BEST). (this one is just for you Wend LOL)

I thougth it would be intersting to see who shared my exact birthdate and I don't know what to make of it? One made me think "oh i wish" and the other made me thing "oh God". We are an interesting bunch us 7 August 1975 lot.

1975 - Charlize Theron, South African actress

1975 - David Hicks, Australian alleged terrorist

Crop for Kids has pretty much been keeping me busy these last few weeks so I really haven't got anyhting exciting to tell. I have managed to do a little scrapping lately and am off to scan, so I will post some picks later.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

WOOHOO I'VE FINALLY SCRAPPED

It has been so long, so that's why I am all exctied. I did this LO for Alison's challenge for the Cyber Crop that was held at KSK this past friday night.

I must get around to scanning some other LO's that I've done this year (there's not many LOL), but that's a another post.

STUFF

Well so much for me being more vigilant when it came to posting on my blog.

So what's news??? Not much really, well nothing overly exciting that's for sure, just the usual everyday stuff.

Caitlin is really enjoying school and I am amazed at how much she is growing up. While this is all wonderful, the one drawback is that she now thinks she is too big to play with her little sister. Don't get me wrong, they do still play together all the time, it's just that they fight about everything. Yesterday's spat was over a brown crayon...brown for god's sake...they could have least made it worthwhile and picked say purple or green.

Miss Gigi herself is a whole other story. Just when I thought she couldn't get anymore headstrong...this child will be the death of me, I'm sure. Even though she is hard work, there are days when she is just so adorably cute, just like in this photo.

I'M A BAD, BAD BLOGGER

and now that I have admitted that, you can all stop emailing me to remind me that it has been over a month since I last posted and that I need to update LOL

Things have been crazy hectic around here and I have soooo much to talk about...where do I start?

Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend the Scrapanalia Retreat at The Country Place, Kalorama, int the Dandenong Mountains. The venue was absolutely divine and on several occasions over the weekend the thought of never leaving did cross my mind. Having beautiful meals cooked for you, a serviette placed on your lap and somebody else doing the dishes and making the beds has an amazing way of rejuvenating the soul. I didn't get a lot done (ok 2 LO's, although one of them was a double) but being able to catch up with friends and make so many more far outweighed the whole scrapping thing. We had such a great group of women attend and it was nice that we all mingled together and made the effort to get to know one another. I have some photos to upload and will get on to that ASAP.

On Monday I attended the Making Memories Trade class at Quest Apartments in Richmond. Having had only a couple of hours sleep withing the four days leading up to it, I can't believe I actually managed to get through it. It was a great day and as soon as I finish my album I will upload some pics for all of you to see. I have to say a big thank you to Nicole and Emilie from Simply Scrapbooking in Eltham, who were great company and forgave me for my lack of brain power. I also bumped into an old friend that I hadn't seen in nearly six years. I had no idea that she scrapped, let alone that she owned her own online ribbon store. Simone's ribbons are reasonably priced and she has so new ribbons arriving from Malaysia soon, so head over to the Ribbon Palace website and check it out.

On Monday we also had Ebony's final X-rays and I am happy to report that she has the all clear. Thank you to everyone who has sent good vibes her way since the accident in December, it obviously had the right effect. The vets has also featured Eb in their February newsletter, so that was a little exciting for us. Check it out here.

I think that will do for one day. I'll be back to upload some photos and fill you in on everything else within the next couple of days...I promise.
